Kee Access Provides Obvious Solution

Background

Keyline is the UK’s number one supplier of specialist civils and drainage solutions to road and rail sectors. They have a nationwide network of over 50 branches covering the UK. Kee Safety have been dealing with the Poole branch for many years and they often call on us when they have a complicated project. On this occasion, in February 2020, they needed help designing a solution for some DDA handrailing on a new footpath being built by their customer.

Project Details

With many organisations involved, including Ford Civils and Dorset County Council as well as Keyline, communication and working in unison was key, with marked up plans and details of the types of assemblies to be used required.

Kee Access are cost effective fittings, designed to create safety handrailing that complies with legislation covering disabled access, therefore making it an obvious safety solution.

Made of cast iron with a yellow polyester coated tubing, ensuring a visually striking and `not cold to touch’ finish. Being in close proximity to a school, the colour co-coordination with the footprints on the new path provides visually pleasing markers for children, whilst encouraging social distancing.
