Thank you to all the team, and our clients for a project we where all truly proud to be involved with. A special thank you for taking the time to write this reference for our works:

Highwire Limited imageswere employed to carry out the Mansafe systems on the Town Hall Transformation Programme, comprising of the Town Hall Extension and Central Library buildings

Originally the works comprised of a combination of existing equipment to be inspected/re-tested and new mansafe systems to be installed to the external roofs, gutters and parapets on the grade 2 * listed buildings.

Working closely with ourselves, English Heritage, Manchester City Council and the Design Teams on both buildings Highwire Limited provided bespoke structural fixings system that retained the existing fabric either out of site or staying in keeping with the buildings, satisfying the requirements of English Heritage and the Planning Authorities along with providing a guaranteed system that could be delivered within demanding time constraints and did not exceed the project budget for the work element.

Given the unknown nature of the existing buildings significant changes were experienced to all the planned works, with many of these changes occurring at a time that impacted upon the installation works. Highwire Limited were always quick to respond to any such matters by deploying labour to progress works in other areas of the project withouankt ever compromising safety, and mitigating cost and programme implications. This approach by Highwire Limited was pivotal in ensuring the various sectional completion handover dates were achieved on both buildings.

Highwire Limited worked collaboratively with Laing O’Rourke to ensure the variation account was agreed as and when change occurred. Their open book approach to valuing change resulted in a fair assessment of the costs making agreement in many instances a formality. They also embraced and honoured the contractual commitments to regeneration, ensuring they employed the correct levels of local labour and helped LOR achieve its obligations.

Given the complexity of the buildings and high risk nature of the works carried out by Highwire there H&S philosophy was impeccable. They always provided correct and thorough documentation to support the task and were extremely pro-active in assisting with developing methodologies where challenging access situation were encountered. Following the completion of the project they have offered a range of additional services to the client for example user training and annual re-certification to which they have been awarded the contract due to their high standard, approachability and brilliant work ethic.

I hope this assist with your selection as they provided an exemplary service.
