It has been a while since we posted any news quite simply because we have been run off our feet.Having out grown our previous space we moved offices in March, we could not believe how we ever fitted the people and the stuff into the old place! For those that know us better we have not escaped being plagued by animals – now it is the local geese knocking on the door at lunch time.We have a nice car park though and plenty of space for our visitors, and enough space to really provide an even better quality of service to all.
We are proud of achieving bronze level in piloting of the BE FAIR frame work for CITB, which is being launched in June this year.
Then of course there is the good level of construction activity around which has kept us busy on all fronts.
The launch of Citizen Manchester the art project celebrating the regeneration of our city’s town hall and library, held at the art gallery in Manchester , gave a great chance and rare opportunity to raise a couple of glasses with both my construction colleagues and friends who support the gallery. Thank you to Laing O’Rourke, Manchester City Council and the Friends of the gallery for a great evening and the chance to meet interesting new people. And what great photos celebrating the life of these buildings! A wonderful creation by Dan Dubowitz and Alan Ward
Then I got to see the new library again for a training as a media expert. A challenging but extremely worth while experience.
In the midst of this -us normal stay at homes- Janette and I have both been traveling , with only one day hand over. Between us we have almost covered the globe with USA and India.
Looking forward to a busy month ahead with the launch event for BE FAIR, BSIF standards meetings etc all falling close together. Over the next month I will be putting together a standards update to keep client’s informed of the changes and challenges in specifying for height safety.
Please do take height safety seriously. Not all installers have the same expertise or can provide real values and value for money-
